some valentine love

I finally found some time to craft a little today. I actually have been going & scrapbooking with some friends every Wednesday (which has been really fun & much needed), but today I made some cards for my Stamp Club this Friday, for my New Catalog Open House next week & my next card class. So here's one for Stamp Club...

Love card

I was asked to teach at a church group next week & they wanted a love card, so this is what I came up with.

I used Close to Cocoa (a neglected color in my house) for the card. I stamped the cocoa with the Sanded background stamp (color on color). I stamped the Jumbo Outline Alphabet in Regal on Regal & then colored it in with a versamarker (love those). I used the Rough Edges Alphabet & stamped "I", & "Y", "O", "U" in cocoa on white, then I punched them out with the 1/2" circle punch. I stamped the heart from Priceless in Pomegranate on white then punched it out with the 1-3/8" circle punch, punched out the scallop circle in pomegranate. The heart has glitter on it (hard to see in picture). The ribbon is Chocolate taffeta.

Regionals scrap page

This is the 12x12 scrapbook page that we made at regionals. The 2nd 2 pages are close-ups. The background is Kraft, then there's Wasabi, Real Red, So Saffron & Soft Sky. The "i love you" is stamped in Wasabi, the "so much" is versamark & the circles on the soft sky is in Basic Gray.

School Valentine's

Holy cow can you say 100 Valentine's! That's how many I made for my kids to pass out at school-I guess that's what I get for having 4 kids in elementary school & being a stamper! I thought they turned out cute-& they don't even have ribbon on them. For those of you who don't know I'm addicted to ribbon! I love ribbons! I have almost every Stampin' Up! ribbon that there is plus a lot more! On these cards-they are 3x3-I used Pretty in Pink for the background. I used the Priceless Stamp set-stamped the heard with craft red then used the heat & stick powder, heated it then put the glitter on! I also used the spiral punch on the side-it needed a little something & I like how that turned out. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day

I was in charge of teaching a technique to our Young Women's group (girls ages 12-18) last night & this is the card that I came up with. I taught them how to heat emboss. They all loved doing the embossing & especially the glitter.
I used Pretty in Pink for the card, then layered with Regal Rose. Embossed with Craft Real Red & Clear EP. I used Regal Rose to stamp the swirly & then applied the glitter with the 2-way glue pen. The heart is embossed & then has glitter around the edges & it's popped up with a dimensional.

Girl's Club

This was probably one of the most interesting classes I've ever taught. Last week was Fall Break & since all the kids were out of school I thought it would be a good idea for my girls to invite some friends to a class. So my oldest daughter (who is 13) had 3 of her friends come & they made this little card tote/purse & these 3 cards. They were all very intimidated at first but really had a lot of fun & they were all very pleased with how well they did afterwards. It was a lot of fun & I wish I would have taken some pictures, but I didn't even think about it!
