Shelby DVD case

Photobucket
I made this dvd case last month for one of my clients, but have just been so busy I hadn't had time to post it, so here it is.  For those that haven't seen the past posts I make these dvd cases for my photography clients.  They are much more attractive than a little jewel case!

dvd case redo

Photobucket
So many of you know that I am a photographer as well as a crafter. I also sell Stampin' Up! and we have blank dvd cases that we sell for clear stamps.  So I decided to get some and make dvd holders for the discs that I give to my photography clients.  This was the first one that I made.
Photobucket
I made a little sleeve for the actual DVD. And then made a sleeve for my business cards.  This was also perfect for me to add my print release on the left side.  I like how this turned out, with the exception that the dvd slides out too easily.

Photo of the day...SOS!

Today's challenge is...SOS...Show Off Something (you're proud of).
This was the first time I used the panoramic option on my camera. I thought it was pretty cool, it wasn't the best but it turned out pretty good for being the first time I've ever done it.

I took this photo back in Michigan in March. I went there to visit my Grandma & see where my dad grew up. It wasn't the best time of year to go there (it was pretty cold & not much green), but it was great to finally be able to go.

If you ever get to the Detroit area you've got to go to Frakenmuth, it is a German town & it was great. There are many, many shops to go to & they even dress up in German attire. They have a huge Christmas store (year round). It says it's the largest Christmas store in the world & after going there I believe it. It was absolutely enormous! There was a huge room just for ornaments, one for trees & lights, one for nativities, etc. It was amazing! This town was so cool that we went there 2 days in a row. That's where I took this picture. Right behind a lot of the shops at the Cass River, beautiful...even without the green.

Photo of the day...Purple

Over at HSMYHS the photo of the day is Purple. This is my oldest daughter's favorite color, it's my brother's favorite & all his children's (i think he's brain-washed them). Go figure. He even bought a purple van several years ago.
I shot these photo's a few weeks ago when my Little C man & I went walking around the neighborhood. I didn't realize how many flowers we had around our community until I went looking for them.

photo of the day...Hide.

This one is for 2 days ago. The photo of the day over at HSMYHS on Monday was...Hide.
Hide: To put out of sight or obscure from vision, show us 'Hide' in your space today.
I don't know why most of my pics are of my baby...I do have 5 other children. Well, really I do know why, because all the other 5 are in school & C is home with me.

This was last week when we went on a fieldtrip with C's preschool class to a supermarket. He was hiding from his friend when we were going through the produce department. It's not the best picture but he moved too quickly before I could re-shoot.

Photo of the day...Paint.

Today's photo of the day over at HSMYHS is Paint!
Paint: To depict with paints, to cover or decorate, find Paint in your space today.
This one was perfect for me since I've done a lot of painting lately. The only problem is that I didn't take any pictures when I was in the process. So I went through my craft room & my kids bathroom & took a few pics today.
Here's a little teaser for my customers & friends who have been anxious to see my new Craft Studio. I just remodeled it. It's still not done, I plan to put wood floors in there next year. But for now it's so much better than it was. I still don't have everything cleaned up yet, so the rest of the pics will come soon. Don't worry Teresa, it's almost done.

These were the paints I used to paint the chipboard numbers in the first picture. I mixed white with them to make them more pastel. I'm not done with the clock yet, stayed tuned for the final product, hopefully soon.

And here's a little bit of what I just finished in my kids bathroom. Now I just have to get the decor back up!

Photo of the day...boot!

Today's Photo of the day at HSMSHS is Boot.
Boot: A sturdy piece of footwear. Find a boot in your space today.

These boots have a story...as I'm sure most boots do. Before I got married I used to go to the Rock dances on Fri. night & Country dances every Sat. night. These dances were hosted by our church & were mainly for singles, but some married couples would come too. It was good, clean fun & a great place to meet other single people. I have so many amazing memories from these dances...so many good times with friends. Anyway, when my husband & I were dating, well even before we were dating, we used to go to the Country dances together every Sat. night. When we got married my hubby didn't want to go anymore, for fear that someone might ask him to dance. Silly man! Well we pretty much stopped going, much to my dismay. I really loved dancing & I still think that's how I stayed so skinny back then. We really got some good exercise. Well, these are the boots that I danced many songs in. They hold many great memories!

Photo of the day...Yellow.

Today's photo word is Yellow. Photo of the day from Her Space, My Space, His Space.
Yellow: Lemons, buttercups or pages of information. Find 'Yellow' in your space.
My little guy & I had a picnic at the park & he was very patient with me trying to get pictures of him, especially when he noticed there was an ant on these flowers. As you can see it's definately Spring here (it actually is almost all year round).

Here are some other beauties in our neighborhood.

Path-photo of the day

Path
I've participated in this Photo of the Day challenge before, but have been so busy that I haven't much lately! On this website they give you a word & you post a picture that has to do with that word. Today's word is Path. This first picture I just took last Sunday (our last day in Michigan) right in front of my Grandma's home. This is the sidewalk leading down her street. I loved the homes there, everything gave that small hometown feeling even though it's not that small.

This picture I also took in Michigan. This path leads down to the cemetary where my Step-Grandpa is buried. I never knew him but I wish I had after talking to my Grandma & feeling the love she has for him.

Visit their website at Her Space, My Space, His Space. They have some really beautiful pictures.

My baby boy...

My baby boy turned 5 last week & this is one of my favorite pictures of him! I ususally keep all things family off of this blog, but this is for a fun contest to win a free photo editing class through Jessica Sprague!
This picture is so sweet to me! He's in the middle of a game & just happens to look up and see's me taking a picture of him & so he stops to pose for me. This is so him, he loves to pose for the camera (most of the time), but he also loves to play soccer. Usually when he's out on the field he doesn't pay attention to anything except for where that ball is. I love you baby!
