I'm finally getting some crafting in again! Here's a few pictures for my next card class, Cards, Cards & more Cards.

It was really hard to get going after not making any cards for awhile. I did some scrapbooking the other day & that got the juices flowing!

This first card shows the details of the Genuine Friend card. The Genuine friend card's background is made with Wild Wasabi, but the color is a little off. I tried to adjust it but it didn't really work, so bear with me on that one.

The Amethyst card was supposed to be a baby card, but it didn't turn out that way. And the last one is a Graduation card.

More Regionals cards

Here's a few more projects that we made at Regionals in Anaheim 2 weeks ago. That was a crazy trip. Laurie, one of my downline & I flew to Anaheim Fri. morning, got there about 7:30 am.

Went to Regionals all day, then flew back home that night (got home about 10:45pm). It was a very long tiring day, but we made some fun projects.

This first card was made with Kraft, Rose Red, Soft Sky & White. It opens differently, kinda fun. I changed the little flower that's at the top of the circle, they had just a plain small rectangle of kraft cs & I didn't like that, so I stamped the flower!

The second card is a pocket card inside. We used Kraft, Real Red, So Saffron & Soft Sky cs. It's hard to see it in the picture but I poked holes around the circles in the red. The stamp set is So Much, this is the set that we got at Regionals.

Then we made a 6x6 scrapbook page with the Live Your Dream stamp set & the Afternoon Tea DSP from the Occasions mini catalog. The background is Soft Sky, then there's also Guava, Chocolate Chip & White. Hodgepodge hardware & Guava double-stitched ribbon.

Regional swap

This is one of my swaps that I took to regionals in Anaheim. I think this was from one of the color challenges on splitcoast but I don't remember. I used Wild Wasabi, Porcelain Prints DSP, Barely Banana, Not Quite Navy & Whisper White. I used the Scallop circle, 1-3/8" circle, key tag, 1-1/4" circle & the Large Oval punch. I seperated some of the layers with dimensionals. I thought this color combo was kinda weird at first-I haven't used Banana for a long time, but I like how it turned out.

My own work!

I used Close to Cocoa, which I haven't used FOREVER, Bashful Blue & Whisper White. I frayed the grosgrain ribbon (a trick that my good friend, Melissa taught me). You just cut your ribbon to the desired length then pull on one end (there is one end that will stop & not fray & the other end will). Just be careful to hold all the pieces together. I've tried tying the know loosely first-it has worked sometimes & other times it will get stuck.


Ok, so over the bazillion years that I've been stamping I've mastered the art of CASE'ing. I love to copy other people's work. I usually will change the stamp set or the colors but I've always had a hard time coming up with something on my own. So last month I was at my friend, Melissa's house to stamp & she turned me on to the challenges at Splitcoast. I've been a member of Splitcoast forever but have never looked at the challenges. So I still haven't had much time to do the challenges but I'm going to. Melissa also gave me another little hint. When she's "blocked" she'll sometimes just open the Stampin' Up! catalog to whatever page & she'll use something that she see's on that page. So I did this when I was at her house & this is what I came up with-it really doesn't look like the card I was going off of but I did use the idea of making a 3x3 card. So here's one that I did on my own. I have made a few over the years on my own, but they are very few & far between. I've decided to change this & I'm working on doing more of my own work. It's a good feeling!

SAS

Friend's boutique

This is the card that I'll have for everyone to make at our Friend's Boutiqe tomorrow. I CASE'd it from someone, but don't remember who. It was actually a 3x3 card & I made it larger, added the ribbon & the sentiment on the bottom.
